About Us

I Am Special (Needs) was created from a place of love, experience, and purpose. I am a parent of a child with special needs who is nonverbal, hard of hearing, blind, and non-ambulatory. Like many parents, I am always searching for ways to make my child’s world joyful, engaging, and meaningful.

Through hands-on experience and thoughtful research, I began creating sensory activities, toys, and accessories that made a noticeable difference in my child’s daily routine. Seeing her respond, explore, and find comfort through these activities inspired me to share them with other families.

I connected with parents and therapists who support children with special needs and disabilities, and the encouraging feedback I received confirmed what I hoped—these products could make a positive impact beyond my own home. My goal is to support parents and caregivers by offering thoughtfully designed activities that promote calm, curiosity, and development for these remarkable children.
